A strong thunderstorm that produced a tornado and strong wind gusts downed power-lines, trees, and caused damage to homes in Coryell, Bosque, and Hill Counties Sunday.Also significant damage was reported at the state school in Mexia.
Damage was first reported near Coryell City by law enforcement around 5:30 PM. A spokesman for the Coryell County Sheriff said the majority of the damage happened in Coryell City and Mosheim but a specific list of damage had not yet been categorized. A tornado was reported near Mosheim just inside in Bosque County, however the National Weather Service has not yet confirmed that as an actual tornado.
