It didnt last long, but the impact of the storm that hit Edwardsville Tuesday evening will be felt for months. While much of the city was sparred damage, the southern portion of Edwardsville — along Goshen Road east of Troy Road — was dealt a serious blow. Residents reported damaged roofs and siding and dented vehicles caused by golf ball-size hail. Shortly before 6 p.m., Glen Carbons storm warning siren sounded. And shortly after that, the wind picked up and the rain and hail came down.
