They are also trying to get carriers to offer discounts for people who take the course. It sounds like the auto insurance discounts available for those taking safe driving courses. The courses, according to guidelines could help remind homeowners to keep detailed records about what is in their homes and how to avoid scammers in a post-flood or other disaster scenario.
