 Thursday, July 20, 2017

Severe storms caused damage and knocked out power Wednesday night in several counties in southwestern Wisconsin. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Vernon and Richland Counties until 9.a.m. Right now, many major highways in Richland County, including Wisconsin Highway 56, Wisconsin Highway 80 and Wisconsin Highway 131 are closed due to flooding. A tornado warning was issued for parts of Sauk, Richland, Grant and Iowa counties around 7 p.m. The National Weather Service canceled the warning around 7:30 p.m. However, straight-line winds caused a lot of damage to trees in southwest Wisconsin.
