Insurance Fraud Charge For Texan Who Ditched BMW In Mexico

Police arrested a Harlingen man nearly nine months after they say he committed insurance fraud, according to a news release from the Harlingen Police Department. Police arrested Arnulfo Celis III, 48, on Tuesday after arrest warrants were issued, stemming from an O On Oct. 8, 2016, Harlingen police responded to a residence on the 2800 block of Augusta National Drive regarding theft of a motor vehicle. Police met with a man, identified as 48-year-old Arnulfo Celis, who claimed that his vehicle, a black 2012 BMW 535i four-door hard-top, was stolen from his open garage between the times of 7 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2016 and 5:47 a.m. the following day, according to the news release. Celis told police he left the key fob inside of the vehicle.
