A Tacoma Washington soldier was shocked when his brand new 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk erupted in flames Saturday evening. Staff Sergeant Joseph Lewis was driving around Saturday morning when he noticed the volume and temperature controls were not working. He didnt think much of it until Saturday evening when he was driving around Joint Base Lewis-McChord about 10:15 p.m. when the cars controls started to malfunction again.“It was like a light show on the dashboard with different lights turning on and off and the stereo strobing,” Lewis said. “Then the car sputtered and shut off.”
