A truck hauling highly flammable hydrogen exploded along Golden Springs Road in Diamond Bar on Sunday afternoon, prompting officials to evacuate area homes and businesses for fear of another blast, officials said. Officials evacuated nearby homes and business for at least a quarter-mile around the truck as a precaution. The evacuation order was lifted early Monday morning. The incident was reported at 1:23 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Golden Springs Road, near Brea Canyon Road, Los Angeles County sheriffs Lt. David Buckner said. No injuries were reported in the initial explosion, he said.
