Nebraska Emergency Rooms Busy With Ice-Related Injuries

With all the freezing rain, sleet and snow in the Metro, It’s been a busy week for area emergency rooms treating patients for injuries related to ice and falls. This week alone has been especially severe. Dr. Peter Daher, emergency physician at Creighton University Medical Center’s University Campus, said it’s the worst week he’s seen so far in terms of ice-related injuries."Probably one of the worst, or the worst week I have experienced in my 27 years in Nebraska," Daher said. Since Thursday, the Metro has been dealing with freezing, icy conditions.
