She was fast, she was furious, and she wreaked havoc across the Atlantic basin. Hurricane Irma struck the Caribbean and southern Florida six months ago, but her impact is still being felt to this day. Irma made seven landfalls between September 6 and September 10, 2017. Landfalls occurred in Barbuda, St. Martin, the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Cuba, Florida Keys, and SWFL respectively. Estimated surface wind speeds during landfall at Barbuda, St. Martin, and the British Virgin Islands were reported to have been around 178 mph.
