National Weather Service storm survey teams are out in the field again today surveying damage from Mondays severe storms. The weather service offices in both Huntsville and Birmingham sent out multiple teams on Tuesday as well and have been able to confirm at least 13 tornadoes in Alabama so far. That number has gone up today with the addition of several tornadoes in north Alabama. One of the strongest of the event was an EF-3 tornado that hit Jacksonville and caused significant damage in the city. But one number the weather service highlighted was also significant: zero.
