A man killed by a mountain lion in Washington state and his friend who escaped did everything they were supposed to do in an attack, according to authorities. The men were mountain biking in remote woods east of Seattle when the cougar started tailing them. The duo got off their bikes, made noise and tried to scare the animal off, according to authorities. One even smacked it with his bike after it charged. The cougar ran off, but it returned and attacked. While one of the men was able to get on his bike and flee, the other was attacked as he tried to run from the cougar.
