Dozens More Hawaiian Homes Burn As Lava Flows To The Sea

Active eruptions claimed dozens more homes over the weekend as a "robust channel" cut its way through Kapoho before reaching the sea. Talmadge Magno, Hawaii County Civil Defense administrator, said at least 159 homes have now been claimed by lava. That’s up from 87 on Friday. "There’s a lot of destruction," Magno said, adding that there are "a lot" more homes that were destroyed that aren’t included in the count.
