One person was taken to the hospital and a portion of Interstate 95 was closed after a pair of crashes late Monday afternoon that police say was caused by road rage. State police said just after 4 p.m., a convoy of National Guard vehicles was heading south on I-95 just past the Pittsfield exit when a driver ahead of one of the fuel tankers started the chain of events. "They were coming southbound and it looks like from everybody’s description that there may have been some road rage going on in front of them," Trooper Joseph Chretien said. "A brake check. The guys that were driving the rig that went down over the side slammed the brakes on as much as they could. Lost control and went through the guard rail and rolled over."
