Fire Destroys California Construction Business Shop

A hot and intense fire on Thursday destroyed a large shop at a construction business north of Anderson near the Verde Vale neighborhood.

The fire, which was contained around 1 p.m. and declared under control little more than hour later, broke out shortly after noon at what emergency dispatchers and others described as a construction-related shop at 19509 Jacqueline St.
