One person was injured after a house explosion and fire on Pine Run Road in Redbank Township Tuesday.

Crews investigated the incident that occurred on May 28 around 8 p.m. The victim, Donna Kemmer, 68, of Mayport, Pa., was in bed at the single story home when she heard a loud explosion and found herself buried under the residential structure wall, according to reports.

Kemmer was able to get free from the rubble and went to a neighbor for assistance.

Officials have determined that the cause of the fire was due to migrating natural gas in the basement.

The structure with a garage and greenhouse are a total loss, with estimated damage between $1.5 and $2 million.
