NICB’s Geospatial Intelligence Center Facilitates Tornado Claims In Ohio

Pictures tell our stories, good and bad. For Ronald Bretherick photos after the Memorial Day tornado that ripped through his North Ridge neighborhood show his home of 44 years destroyed.

Inside his house, you can see just how strong the storm was. His ceiling is now missing, windows broken and leaks drip from holes in the roof. Bretherick is left with no choice but to move on.

"Well, we had an insurance adjuster out here on Wednesday, and that’s when he looked around and he said it was a total loss,” Bretherick said. Filing insurance claims is the next step for many impacted by the tornadoes, and again photos are coming into play.
