Tornado That Hit Copperas Cove, Texas Caused Nearly $2.7M In Damages

The tornado that hit Big Divide near Copperas Cove caused nearly $2.7 million in damages, according to a report released by the Building Officials Association of Texas Diasaster (BOAT) Reponse Team.

On June 17, representatives assessed damage to properties located within the area near Big Divide where an EF-02 Tornado struck on Sunday June 9, 2019 at 5:28 p.m.

Previously, officials said nearly 200 homes were damaged by the tornado. No injuries were reported.

The BOAT team found that homes affected by the storms are located in Coryell and Lampasas County. All are within the Copperas Cove city limits.
