Deceitful Claims: Class-Action Lawsuit Filed Against Tesla, Musk

Looks like some of Tesla’s shareholders are feeling betrayed by Elon Musk and his merry band of executives. Investors have filed a lawsuit accusing the company of exaggerating the capabilities of its self-driving tech and putting people’s lives at risk.

In a class-action lawsuit filed in San Francisco, the disgruntled shareholders claim they’ve been hoodwinked by Tesla and Musk for years. They even suggest that the company may have covered up the true cause of fatal crashes to keep up appearances.

These angry investors are convinced that Tesla’s deception "created a serious risk of accident and injury." And to add insult to injury, when the truth finally came out, the stock price took a nosedive, leaving these poor shareholders high and dry.

Looks like Tesla is in trouble with both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Securities and Exchange Commission breathing down its neck.

The NHTSA has put the brakes on Tesla’s driver-assistance system updates until the company can get its act together and fix some issues.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the SEC is investigating Elon Musk for his grandiose claims about Tesla’s safety tech. It seems the shareholders are also fed up with Musk’s shenanigans, and they’ve filed a lawsuit demanding damages for their losses.

Tesla’s stock took a beating in 2021 and lost nearly half its value, and even though it’s been making a comeback lately, it’s still way below its former glory days.
