Bermuda-based reinsurers, IPC Holdings, PXRE Group, and Trenwick Group Ltd., in estimates released late Friday, all said they expected their losses from the World Trade Center attack to fall below $100 million.

PXRE, however, disclosed that its losses, expected to range from $30-$35 million, would mean of a loss of "less than 10 percent" of the company's capital base. The company said this capital impact is "within its risk limits for a loss of this magnitude."

Trenwick, with losses estimated at roughly $50 million-to-$75 million, net of reinsurance recoveries, said it anticipates a potential 5-7 percent reduction in consolidated statutory surplus.
