# In Defense of the Digital Image

I like digital. I have seen several reviews of digital cameras, along with comparisons of one model against another. However, most insurance trade magazine articles or letters to the editor comments I have read have all had a negative spin for the most part. 

From a claims person's standpoint, we have had nothing but positive results from our digital program. Hopefully, this article will answer several questions about digital cameras and their practical use in a real claims environment. I am an independent claims professional, so the slant will be to my cohorts. However, with dispensing of the cost of film and processing, consideration of digital on the staff side seems like a no-brainer. 

One article I found most amusing was one comparing digital cameras with scanning 35mm photographs. It was about points to consider when exploring digital imaging solutions.
