Vehicle safety issues continue to take center stage in insurance and risk circles. That’s why Stephen Oesch, senior vice president at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), was asked to return for a second encore presentation to the NAMIC Property Casualty Conference Claims Seminar.

This year marks the third straight year Oesch has been invited to present his non-profit group’s latest findings on key auto safety issues to seminar attendees.

The annual event, organized and sponsored by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, brought claims professionals from around the country to Annapolis for two days of lectures and interactive learning.

Oesch’s overall message was simple: We’ve made substantial progress, but much remains to be done.
