In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings, which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a * Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Rapid Rises for... West central Natrona County in central Wyoming... * Until 715 PM MDT. * At 418 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Two to three inches of rain have fallen. Waltman and Powder River are the most likely places to experience minor flooding. This will mainly impact the basins and creeks that drain into the South Fork Powder River.
