Significant Blowing Snow Today across portions of Central
Wyoming...
.A combination of strong wind and fresh snow will result in
considerable blowing and drifting of snow across southern Fremont
County into Natrona County.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS
AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Areas of blowing and drifting of snow. A Southwest wind
of 25 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph. Wind Gusts of 60 to 65
mph are expected along Outer Drive in Casper, and on ridges
across southeast Fremont County. Winds have already gusted to
65 mph along outer Drive and 53 mph at the airport in Casper.
* WHERE...Southern Fremont County and Natrona County.
* WHEN...Now until 5 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Slippery roads and reduced visibility. The
combination of strong wind and slippery roads will increase
the chances of a vehicle sliding off the road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst conditions are expected to
occur this morning through early afternoon.
