FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH AND NORTHWESTERN OCEAN COUNTIES... At 715 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Lakehurst, Cedar Glen West, Vista Center, Ramtown, and Allenwood. This includes the following highways... Interstate 195 in New Jersey near mile marker 26...and between mile markers 30 and 33. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 92 and 96.
