Flooding is likely in low-lying coastal areas where high tide will
inhibit runoff of heavy rain.
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Until 200 PM EDT.
* At 958 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated bands of heavy rain in
association with Hurricane Ian. A tropical rain band will continue
to move inland this morning which will produce heavy rain and near
hurricane force wind gusts. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Hurricane Ian
producing flash flooding.
