Gusty Winds Today... A low pressure system moving north of the region today will lead to an increase in the south to southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 to 40 mph. The strongest gusts are expected in the afternoon. These gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects such as holiday decorations. Also, a few tree limbs could be blown down and isolated power outages are possible.
