WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 1 PM
CDT SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Accumulating wet snow expected. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 5 inches, with the highest amounts north
of I-88.
* WHERE...Lee, De Kalb, and Kane Counties.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 1 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Slushy snow accumulations, especially on bridges and
overpasses, are likely to adversely impact travel for a period
of time early Saturday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow rates may peak near 1 inch per hour
for a period late tonight into early Saturday morning. The
expected heavy, wet nature of the snow will make shoveling
hazardous.
