WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT
WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches
above 2500 feet, with a coating to 2 inches between 2000 and
2500 feet. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.
* WHERE...In Maryland, Garrett County. In Virginia, Western
Highland County.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of heavy wet snow, strong
winds, and green up on trees will enhance the threat for downed
trees and power outages above 3,000 feet. Sub-freezing
temperatures are expected overnight. Visibility could be reduced
to less than a mile at times.
