At 209 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout offshore of Sawgrass, or near
Ponte Vedra Beach, moving north at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts around 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach,
Palm Valley, Sawgrass, Mayport, San Pablo, Fort Caroline, and Guana
River State Park.
