The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Little Wabash River below Clay City affecting Clay and Richland
Counties.
.Another 2 to 3 inches of rain fell upstream of Clay City on
Thursday, causing renewed rises. The Little Wabash River is expected
to reach flood stage later today, and crest early Saturday morning.
The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Little Wabash River below Clay City.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, 2600E Road begins to flood 1.5 miles south
of Wynoose.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 15.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this
evening, cresting at 18.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then
fall below flood stage tomorrow evening to 17.2 feet Sunday
morning. Another rise is likely on Sunday, though remaining
below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
