7-10 years of combined audit/claims technical experience.
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
7-10 years of audit, accounting, contracting, claims, or insurance operations (preferably auto liability) experience. Experience with claim processing systems and the ability to interpret state insurance codes and insurance contracts. Experience developing, performing and reporting financial audits in a corporate environment. AIC or CPCU designation preferred

Avis Budget Group is searching for a Senior Claims Auditor to join the Internal Audit Department located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Senior Claims Auditor will lead and perform operational (quality claims handling process) and financial audits of claims pre and post payment (loss and expense integrity) utilizing applicable source documents to identify inefficiencies in claim payment accuracy.

* Lead and perform operational and financial audits of claims pre and post payment utilizing applicable source documents such as rental contracts/agreements, operational guidelines and applicable state laws.
*Performs individual claims audits to ensure accuracy of claims processed.
*Recognizes claims payment processing issues/problems, refers them to management and/or appropriate party, and assists in the review and implementation of resolution.
*Traces sources of inaccuracies; reports & proposes remediation to appropriate manager.
