A day in the life of an Coordinated Property Adjuster:
  • Spend your day handling claims virtually from home.
  • Handle escalated claims files that have complex contents or additional living expense damages.
  • Conduct a thorough coverage investigationof the loss and ensure the policy wasapplied correctly
  • Use advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors to identify damages and write a contents damage estimate from a virtual setting
  • Communicate empathetically with customers and help them through their claim process in a fast, fair and easy manner
  • Negotiate claim settlements with customers in accordance with business unit standard methodologies
  • Coordinate with structure adjuster's to ensure holistic handling of the claim file
  • Use data and analytics to tell a story and influence decision making

This role involves taking care of customers in their times of need. As a result, youmust be willing to work some weekend and extended hoursif necessary.

You'll wear a few hats that will require a level of experience:
  • The Customer Service Expert youll live into Allstates Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, and you will accomplish that by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each Propertyclaim. You lead with empathy, always.
  • The Investigator youll confidently and independently investigate propertyclaims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  • The Effective Communicator youll use phone, emails and sometimes even video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. Youll also incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer the customer their preference of communication to efficiently discuss their claim needs and keep them updated on the claim progress.
  • The Negotiator You will evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies. With negotiations, you will incorporate tactics in handling challenging and complex situations.
  • The Problem Solver youll utilizemultiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and additionalsettlement platforms, all while using your sharp critical thinking skills.
  • The Recorder youll protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements, and you keep a clear record of your work in a claims system that you will be trained on. Youll accomplish this by ensuring timelyand accuratedocumentation is completed as you work on each claim.
When will I work?

Monday Friday; 8 am -5 pm with rotational Saturday duty

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have aHigh School Diploma/GED or higher (Bachelors Degree preferred)
  • Previous experience handling property insurance claims preferred
  • Have prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate for complex contents estimating preferred
  • Able to work Eastern Standard Time Zone hours
  • Value providing an effortless customer service experience
  • You enjoy the ability to work independently starting your day from home
  • View problems and setbacks as opportunities for improvement and look forward to coming up with creative solutions
  • Are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Are known for clear and professional communication both written and verbal
  • Are Bilingual and/or having prior military experience- its a plus
Notice of Licensing Requirement:

As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor.If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire.

If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you along with the Centralized Licensing team to ensure that you are properly licensed.

Sign-On Bonus:

You may be eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role. This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.

Candidates who have previously worked for and are seeking to be rehired at Allstate and its family of companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus.

Compensation offered for this role is$54,000-$96,000 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
