A life ring belonging to a cargo ship that vanished with 28 American and five Polish crew members aboard was spotted adrift by searchers Saturday afternoon. The flotsam was first discovered by crewmembers of a U.S. Coast Guard C-130 aircraft and later confirmed as the El Faro’s gear by a helicopter crew.
