Flooding A Recurring Problem In Louisiana Subdivision

Residents of the Fox Chase Subdivision are keeping their sandbags, and guard up after floodwaters rose again Tuesday night following heavy rain. "Right on the other side of this fence here," said Mitch Branch as we crossed his fence. Just steps away is the Foxskin Bayou that serves as the main drainage channel for the Fox Chase Subdivision, but there’s a problem. "The creek is insufficient for the amount of water, and these heavy rains," said Branch. Branch has lived in his house at Fox Chase since 2008, and his house has flooded 3 times. He says many neighbors have flooded 3 times just within the last year.
