Insurtech Launches Usage-Based Drone Coverage

Insurtech company REIN has launched DroneInsurance.com, with underwriting by Liberty Specialty Markets, providing usage-based insurance for commercial drone operators and simplifying the process of obtaining both base and liability coverage. The product is the startup’s first since obtaining $7.3 million in venture funding, secured from individual investors, including from Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures and Kiplin Capital. The funding has allowed REIN to build the flexible and data-driven platform, automated to allow for a paperless and streamlined application process.
