NWS Releases Final Damage Survey, Confirms 5 Twisters

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has officially concluded its damage survey for southwest Arkansas, northeast Texas, and north Louisiana, confirming five separate tornados in the area on Monday.
According to the NWS final report released Saturday, an EF-2 tornado ripped through the Arden community in Ashdown, AR just before 5:30 a.m. on the morning of October 13th, killing 33-year-old Eddie Whithen and critically injuring his wife, 34-year-old Roxanne Withen.
