Worker Burned by Explosion at Florida Plant

A worker at a Brevard County-based manufacturing plant suffered burns Monday morning after a machine exploded, officials said. Officials with the Rockledge Fire Department said the man was working at LRM Industries International Inc., located at 135 Gus Hipp Blvd. The explosion happened just after 9 a.m., officials said. Investigators said the man was able to walk outside to a waiting ambulance, which took him to a helicopter. He was then taken via air to Wuesthoff Medical Center. Firefighters contained the small fire at the plant. .
