Workers’ comp change affects employers

Insurance companies are less liable for certain types of workers’ compensation claims after a policy change approved by the state Department of Banking and Insurance. The change, which took effect July 1, allows insurance companies to narrow their coverage and limit liability in cases where an employer’s actions could have contributed to an accident.
