* WHAT...Northwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
expected.
* WHERE...In North Carolina, Alleghany NC, Surry and Wilkes
Counties. In Virginia, Carroll, Floyd, Patrick and Franklin
Counties.
* WHEN...Until noon today.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds were channeling through Fancy Gap
along I-77. Frequent gusts of 45 to 55 mph have been reported.
Recent rainfall will also make it easier for the wind to uproot
trees. Watch for debris or downed trees or tree limbs on the
highway.
