and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...
White River from Elliston downstream to Hazleton.
.Following the heavy rain last week, the White River from Elliston
to Hazleton remains in flood, and flooding will last as long as into
the middle of next week along portions of the White.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Newberry.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, High water may affect CR 550 S in the Mary
Long Cutoff area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Thursday was 17.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
afternoon to 7.8 feet Saturday morning. It will then rise to
8.2 feet Saturday evening. It will fall to 7.9 feet early
Sunday afternoon. It will then rise to 8.1 feet early Monday
morning. It will fall again and remain below flood stage.
