Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... White River from Edwardsport south to Hazleton. Wabash River from Lafayette south to Mount Carmel. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette and Clinton. .Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work at emptying last week's copious rainfall. Flooding continues on the Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, and on the White River south of Newberry. Flooding will last as long as mid week next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Edwardsport. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.6 feet, INDOT may close SR 358 between SR 67 at Edwardsport to SR 57 at Plainville due to flooding.
