Fog has developed early this morning, particularly in river valleys in the Bluegrass and Lake Cumberland regions. Fog is more widespread across eastern Kentucky, but should continue to gradually expand through sunrise. Expect dense fog currently along the Kentucky and Cumberland rivers to slowly spread to other areas as well. Motorists should use extra caution this morning and be prepared for a sudden drop in visibility, possibly to near zero. Reduce speed and use low beam headlights in foggy areas. Visibility in fog is expected to improve by 9 AM EDT.
