Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
The storm which prompted the warning has received a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Robeson County, in effect until 745 PM. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southeastern North Carolina.
