Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or hard-topped vehicle. Remember, when
thunder roars, go indoors!
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for east central
Florida.
At 1005 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Lake Kissimmee, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lake Kissimmee and Alligator Lake.
