Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. For the Wood River...including Hope Valley...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pawcatuck River at Wood River Junction. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Floodwaters begin to spread onto Driftwood Drive in Charlestown. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 4.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 5.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
