The National Weather Service in Tallahassee FL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Florida...
Withlacoochee River near Pinetta (CR 150) affecting Hamilton and
Madison Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Withlacoochee River near Pinetta (CR 150).
* WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 76.0 feet, Several roads near the river in Madison
County become impassable. In Hamilton County, water begins to
flood back yards of homes along NW 36th Terrace. Flooding
continues to worsen at the Florida Campsites, with portions of the
area becoming inaccessible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 69.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Thursday morning and continue rising to a crest of 75.0
feet early Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 73.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
75.0 feet on 12/10/2018.
