We are seeking a detailoriented and customerfocused Collections Specialist to join our Workers' Compensation team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and collecting pastdue premium, audit balances, and deductible receivables.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to resolve issues and support overall financial performance.

Essential Job Functions and

Responsibilities Manage Delinquent Accounts Monitor, track, and collect pastdue Workers' Compensation premium, audit balances, and deductible receivables to reduce aging and improve cash flow.

Customer Outreach & Negotiation Conduct timely and professional outreach to insureds, agents, and brokers to resolve outstanding balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and handle billing inquiries.

Audit Review & Dispute Resolution Review completed audits, research discrepancies, and work with underwriting, audit, and billing teams to resolve disputes and ensure accurate final charges.

Documentation & System Updates Maintain thorough and accurate notes of all communication, payment commitments, and account activity in internal systems while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.

Escalation & Recovery Actions Identify accounts requiring further intervention and recommend escalation such as cancellation, nonrenewal, legal action, or thirdparty collections, following internal policies.

The person hired for this position will work out of the Lakeland, FL office which offers a hybrid work environment of 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home. #LI-Hybrid Job Requirements

Education: Associates degree (Bachelors degree preferred).

Scope of Job/

Qualifications:

Experience in insurance collections, commercial billing, or Workers' Compensation (preferred).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze account histories and identify rootcause issues.

Proficiency with billing systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Problemsolving mindset with a customerfocused approach.
