Responsibilities Assist with claims research.
Conduct social media, public record, and basic research related to claimants and/or insureds.
Support claims adjusters with taskspecific assignments as needed.
Assist with new claim setup, including data entry and initial research based on first notice of loss.
Provide administrative and project support to the VP of Claims, including calendar and task assistance.
Assist with preparing reports and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
Organize policy forms, endorsements, and coverage documentation for review by senior claims staff.
Participate in training, mentoring, and job shadowing opportunities to gain handson claims experience.
Develop foundational claims skills, including investigation techniques, documentation, critical thinking, and professional communication.
Skills & Learning Objectives Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic critical thinking and problemsolving skills with willingness to learn root cause analysis.
Ability to follow established procedures and instructions.
Selfmotivated, dependable, and receptive to feedback.
Qualifications Current college student (and or recent graduate) working towards a degree program in business, finance, insurance, or risk management.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to work collaboratively and embrace innovative ideas and processes.
