On Monday evening, the parking lot was packed at the Fishmarket Restaurant in Palo Alto. What many of those diners didnt know: their cars are in a hot zone for auto burglary. On the evening of January 14, nine cars in the lot had their windows smashed and valuables stolen during the dinner hour between 6:30 and 9 pm. "More often than not, the victim vehicle is a rental car," Detective Sgt. Brian Philip told KTVU.
