A mansion in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods was engulfed in flames Thursday evening. The blaze was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on the 10800 block of West Bellagio Road in the Holmby Hills area of Bel Air. Eighty firefighters were initially on the scene to battle the fire in the two-story, 7,500-square foot home, and up to 107 were fighting the blaze by night’s end. According to initial reports, the homeowner, their children and the family’s nanny all called 911 to report the fire. LAFD arrived within six minutes, but the blaze had already caused much damage.
